To join our client in Germany, we are seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer, to ensure Data Protection Law compliance with a focus on contract, IP and IT Law. Location: Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia Expected salary: €100,000 Industry: Financial Services Responsibilities: Provide companywide legal advisory on Data Protection matters related to IP and IT Ensure policies and procedures are compliant, and monitor internal legal controls Prepare and analyse transactions to ensure they follow contractual agreements Provide guidance during contract negotiations with external partners Qualifications and Expertise: 3+ years post qualification experience in Data Protection Law advisory Completed a second state law examination or equivalent legal studies Strong understanding of data protection, particularly related to Information Technology and Intellectual Property matters Industry experience in finance, banking, or insurance is highly desirable Skills: Strong fluency in English, with additional languages like French beneficial Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Driven to learn and succeed, with a proactive and cooperative approach
