Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert – Cologne Company Overview My client is a leading international chemicals company involved in various industries including personal care, textiles, and industrial cleaning. They are also involved in supplying the pharma industry with active ingredients and raw materials. Position Overview As part of our Regulatory Affairs team based within the Bonn region, you will work closely with colleagues across Europe. The team includes a Manager, 2 specialists, and an Assistant. Key Responsibilities Monitor and implement legal and regulatory developments related to environmental, health, safety, product registration, and sustainability. Assist European subsidiaries with global-REACH and other regulatory activities. Support the planning and management of an integrated regulatory affairs and product safety system in collaboration with other internal departments. Lead the development and ensure compliance with regulatory and product safety standards within the company. Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including trade associations, service providers, professional associations, and regulatory bodies. Participate in REACH consortia relevant to our chemical products. Classify, label, and register products used in diverse industries. Prepare and coordinate the upcoming EU-REACH registration of Polymers for various EU entities. Qualifications and Skills HLO or University degree in chemistry, technical degree or any chemicals related field. Ideal location is around the Bonn region. 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting. Strong knowledge of chemical legislation and (eco) toxicology. Persuasive and confident in introducing regulatory requirements. Excellent communication skills in German and English (additional languages are a plus).
