The Role: Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) We are seeking an Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) for BUOYANCY AEROSPACE DE GmbH , based in Hamburg. This 6 -month fixed-term assignment requires a decisive and results-oriented leader to design and implement resilient operational frameworks, ensuring excellence in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence: Develop and implement processes to achieve 100% quality and 100% on-time delivery (OTD) —non-negotiable standards for our reputation. Process Design: Build efficient, scalable workflows that enhance reliability across all operations. Leadership and Decision-Making: Lead the Hamburg and Dresden teams with principled decision-making, fostering accountability and high performance. Collaboration: Engage directly with team members, customers, suppliers, and selected stakeholders to maintain operational alignment with strategic objectives. Reporting: Serve as a trusted advisor to the Group CEO, providing actionable insights on progress, challenges, and areas for improvement. Required Qualifications Proven Expertise: A strong track record of operational leadership in aerospace, space, defense, or similarly demanding industries. Resilience and Decisiveness: Capable of making tough, impactful decisions in high-pressure scenarios. On-Site Leadership: Full-time presence in Hamburg is required. This role is not remote or hybrid. Moderate travel to Dresden, customer sites, and UK (Manchester/London) is expected.
