Senior Data Governance Consultant (f/m/d)

Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of data governance programs, including data observability, quality, and cataloging
- Develop and implement a roadmap for data quality and cataloging to ensure data accuracy, completeness, reliability, and timeliness
- Conduct detailed maturity studies to assess current data governance practices, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
- Design and implement a data literacy strategy, including training programs and workshops to improve staff understanding and use of data
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, communicate complex data governance concepts, and support change management activities
- Create data governance policies, standards, and frameworks to ensure compliance, data quality, and consistent usage
- Monitor and track the performance of data governance practices, foster continuous improvement, and stay updated with trends and best practices
Experience & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, and consulting with a focus on data quality, data observability, and metadata management, with overall 12+ years of experience
- Proven track record of leading and managing data governance programs, including the implementation of data catalogs and observability tools
- Strong background in conducting data maturity assessments and driving data governance transformations in large, complex organizations
- Experience in building and executing data literacy programs, including the development of training materials and workshops
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, COBIT, DCAM) and best practices in data management
- Familiarity with data catalog tools (e.g., Alation, Collibra, Informatica) and data observability platforms (e.g., Monte Carlo, DataOps, Great Expectations, Acceldata)

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to analyze complex data challenges and provide clear, actionable recommendations

- Collaborative team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and data security standards
