Role Overview:
The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for driving the company’s global revenue growth strategy, with the goal of doubling revenue within the next five years. You will lead a team of 7 regional Sales Managers and oversee commercial performance across all major markets. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role, requiring a blend of strategic vision, strong team leadership, and deep knowledge of flexible packaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global sales strategy to achieve significant revenue growth targets
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing international sales team (7 direct reports)
- Strengthen and expand customer relationships across food and non-food sectors
- Drive key account growth and identify new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, R&D, operations, and supply chain to deliver customer value
- Set and monitor KPIs, ensuring consistent sales performance, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline management
- Represent the company at major industry events, conferences, and client meetings globally
- Report sales results and strategic progress directly to the CCO and executive leadership team
Key Requirements
- Proven track record of sales leadership within the flexible packaging industry
- Minimum 10–15 years of commercial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Deep understanding of both food and non-food packaging markets
- Strong global business acumen, with experience managing multi-regional teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Fluent in English; German or additional languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel internationally as required (~40%)
