About the Role:

YER is recruiting on behalf of our client – an international leader in explosion-proof electrical solutions – for a skilled and motivated Field Sales Engineer to join their growing team in Germany. This organization serves key industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemicals, and is known for its commitment to safety, quality, and innovation.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for expanding market presence across Germany, maintaining and developing customer relationships, and providing hands-on technical support for a highly specialized product portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities through client visits and strategic outreach.
  • Account Management: Nurture and grow relationships with existing clients by understanding and addressing their commercial and technical needs.
  • Technical Consultation: Provide customers with training and ongoing support to ensure proper product application and satisfaction.
  • Sales Management: Develop quotations, manage the sales cycle, and convert proposals into orders.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Use CRM systems to track sales metrics and deliver regular reports.
  • Internal Coordination: Liaise with R&D for product development input and collaborate with post-order and finance teams for seamless execution and support.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Background: Degree in a technical discipline, ideally in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 3 years in a technical sales or field engineering role, preferably within the Oil & Gas or related sectors.
  • Languages: Native German speaker with fluent English; Italian is a plus but not required.

  • Strong commercial acumen and planning abilities.
  • Confident in negotiations and problem-solving.
  • Capable of working independently and within a team environment.
  • Open to frequent travel within Germany.
