Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and optimise C++ code for advanced image processing algorithms tailored to medical imaging applications.
- Design and implement algorithms for tasks like image segmentation, enhancement, registration, denoising, and reconstruction (e.g., MRI, CT, ultrasound).
- Work with 3D medical imaging modalities and DICOM standards to ensure high-quality image processing results.
- Maintain and evolve existing image processing software libraries, adding new features and functionalities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in C++ programming, with a focus on image processing and computer vision.
- Strong understanding of core image processing concepts, including filtering, segmentation, feature extraction, and pattern recognition.
- Experience with 3D medical imaging (MRI, CT) and familiarity with DICOM standards.
- Solid foundation in mathematics, particularly linear algebra, geometry, and numerical methods.
- Proficiency with image processing libraries/tools like OpenCV, ITK, and VTK.
- Experience with multithreading and optimising performance for large datasets.
- Ideally located in Berlin
