Our client is a major independent producer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) generating revenues nearing one billion euros. They are looking for a seasoned Project Engineer to support complex capital investment projects in a GMP-regulated environment. This is a key role in driving innovation and efficiency across pharmaceutical or chemical production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop feasibility studies, concepts, and perform both basic and detailed engineering independently and on schedule.
- Coordinate internal departments and oversee external service providers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare specifications and tender documents, evaluate supplier proposals, and lead contract negotiations.
- Oversee multidisciplinary project teams and external contractors during planning and execution phases.
- Continuously refine project methodologies and tools to enhance productivity and quality.
Your Profile:
- Degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Additional qualifications in project management (certification preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in plant engineering projects, ideally in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
- Proven track record managing Capex projects valued at €5 million or more.
- In-depth experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and plant design.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., ATEX, Machinery Directive, Industrial Safety Regulations).
- Solid understanding of GMP-compliant construction and validation.
- Strong analytical skills, initiative, and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
- Team-oriented mindset with entrepreneurial drive and excellent communication abilities.
- Fluent in German and English.
