The Opportunity:
This role offers the chance to work on an evolving data platform, combining cloud-based technologies with existing on-premise systems. You’ll play a central role in the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance data solutions that support strategic decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructure using Azure and Databricks.
- Support the shift from a traditional data warehouse to a modern Lakehouse architecture.
- Design efficient data models and ensure smooth integration of diverse data sources.
- Implement robust data quality checks and help automate ETL processes.
- Monitor data workflows and resolve issues as part of a DevOps-focused approach.
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data operations and best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Hands-on experience in Data Engineering, BI, or related roles.
- Familiarity with tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other cloud data services.
- Experience with modern ETL/ELT processes and BI tools.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of data modelling principles and analytics platforms.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments and contributing to DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in both German and English (minimum B1 level).
