Role Overview:
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share in Northern Germany.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Work closely with the engineering team to develop customized equipment solutions that meet client specifications.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record in capital equipment sales within the food processing industry, particularly with machinery such as cutting, slicing, packaging, and automation systems.
- Strong understanding of food processing equipment and the ability to discuss technical aspects with clients and engineers.
- Fluency in German is essential; conversational proficiency in English is required for internal communication.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Northern Germany to meet clients and attend industry events.
