Head of Cloud - Microsoft Azure / M365

Energize are partnered with a leading Sustainability Group based in Germany.

They are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Cloud with a focus on Microsoft Azure and M365 to lead their cloud team and drive the cloud strategy.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and services to ensure they are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.Develop and implement the cloud strategy with a focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Work with IT security teams to conduct audits and implement compliance measures with internal policies and external regulations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance in infrastructure design to ensure best practices in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions to achieve business goals in the Azure Cloud and Windows Active Directory.
• Migrate existing on-premises infrastructure to Azure while ensuring service continuity.
• Design and manage Active Directory and other directory services in hybrid environments to ensure seamless identity and access management across all platforms.
• Stay up to date on new technologies and cloud trends to stay technically up-to-date in cloud architectures and related technologies.
• Lead and coach the growing cloud team (currently 4 employees).
• Work with different departments to identify and implement cloud solutions.
• Manage budget and cost control for cloud services.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience in the development and management of cloud infrastructures, especially with Microsoft Azure and M365.
• Several years of experience as a cloud architect.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security practices and standards.
• Convincing personality with a passion for IT infrastructure and leadership.
• Knowledge of ITIL and PRINCE2 is an advantage.
• Interest in technically and organizationally challenging scenarios.
• Analytical and process-oriented working methods.
• Experience in leading and developing teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Very good German and good English skills.
• Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
