SAP Functional Consultant (Freelance)

Job Overview:

The SAP Functional Consultant will play a critical role in guiding the customer through the greenfield migration process to SAP S/4HANA, working across multiple functional modules. This position requires a deep understanding of SAP solutions in the manufacturing sector and hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing SAP modules within an S/4HANA environment. The consultant will collaborate closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that business processes are effectively mapped, configured, and optimized during the migration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greenfield S/4HANA Migration:
  • Support the implementation of SAP S/4HANA in a greenfield environment, guiding the customer through the full lifecycle of the project, from planning and requirements gathering to configuration, testing, and go-live.
  • Assist with the design and configuration of SAP modules aligned with the customer’s manufacturing business processes.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.
  • Module Expertise:
  • Leverage deep knowledge of multiple SAP functional modules (e.g., SAP MM, SD, PP, PM, WM, QM, FICO, etc.) to support system design, configuration, and business process improvements.
  • Lead workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and blueprinting activities to map customer business processes to SAP best practices.
  • Solution Design & Configuration:
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand business needs and design SAP solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Configure SAP S/4HANA modules according to best practices, ensuring effective integration and alignment with the client’s business operations.
  • Testing & Documentation:
  • Assist in the preparation of test plans and scripts, ensuring that all aspects of the system functionality are tested.
  • Provide documentation for all configurations and custom developments as part of the knowledge transfer process.
  • Training & Support:
  • Provide end-user training and guidance on the new system and processes to ensure successful adoption.
  • Offer post-go-live support to troubleshoot issues, resolve incidents, and enhance system performance.
