Role: Logistics Process Engineer – Contract Logistics

Location: Germany (Munich or Frankfurt)


The Company

Axzel Search is supporting a global logistics company in the search for a Logistics Process Engineer to strengthen their regional Contract Logistics operations in the EMEA region. This company operates at the forefront of integrated supply chain solutions, delivering excellence in warehousing, distribution, and customer-focused innovation across a broad network. They are seeking a process-driven engineering professional with the analytical mindset and technical know-how to optimise warehouse design, enhance productivity, and support continuous improvement initiatives across EMEA.


The Role

Working within the global Process & Engineering function, you will play a hands-on role in analysing, designing, and implementing operational enhancements across contract logistics sites. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop efficient, scalable warehouse layouts and process flows, while also supporting new business implementations and improvement programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and optimising facility layouts to improve productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency
  • Leading operational improvement projects focused on streamlining logistics workflows
  • Supporting the implementation of new client operations across the regional network
  • Evaluating and enhancing current logistics processes and technology usage
  • Interpreting customer needs into practical, scalable logistics solutions
  • Conducting studies and data analysis to drive performance-based decision-making
  • Supporting the development of tools, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor operations
  • Working with warehouse systems and tools (including CAD and Power BI) to maximise efficiency


The Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in logistics engineering, process design, or warehouse optimisation
  • Strong technical understanding of supply chain systems, tools, and analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), CAD, and Power BI
  • Experience analysing data, mapping processes, and delivering cost-saving initiatives
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications into actionable operational solutions
  • A structured, problem-solving mindset and a hands-on approach
  • Comfortable with regional travel as part of a dynamic and collaborative team
