Responsibilities

• Integrated photonic devices for lasers and Kerr comb solutions: design, simulations, and layout.
• Create a characterization setup and help with the characterization and testing of Kerr comb PICs and ultra-low noise lasers.
• Taking part in the prototypes' mechanical design.
• Documenting and reporting on the status of system development.

Requirements

• Experience in at least one of the following fields: III-V semiconductor lasers and optoelectronics, silicon photonics design, nonlinear photonics/Kerr frequency combs, RF engineering, optical/electrical packaging, photonic system design, photonic device testing, or electronics.
• Proficiency with FDTD simulators, GDS design tools, and programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.
• Familiarity with the development of electronic and photonic subsystems, as well as system control software, is a plus.
