A company we are working with who provide expert services to company's in the critical infrastructure sector, are looking for a freelance PAM engineer to help with a large project with one of their clients in Frankfurt.
Initial contract length is 6 months.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Maintain and support the CyberArk privileged access management system.
- Onboard clients and systems into the patch management environment.
- Coordinate patching windows and system downtimes with internal teams and system owners.
- Participate in change management processes and present planned updates in daily meetings.
- Execute patching and system hardening activities.
- Perform system assessments and troubleshoot any arising issues.
- Automate patch management processes using Ansible scripts.
Required Skills & Experience
You bring:
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience in IT Security, Network Security, or Systems Administration.
- Expertise in vulnerability assessment and management.
- Proven knowledge of Privileged Access Management (preferably with CyberArk).
- Strong experience with Linux systems and familiarity with Windows environments.
- Knowledge of syslog collection and correlation tools (syslog-ng preferred).
- Familiarity with VMware and automation tools like Ansible.
- Experience with OS patching tools such as RedHat Satellite, Foreman, or Orcharhino.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl.
- A solid grasp of infrastructure security and networking protocols.
- An independent, solution-oriented mindset with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
