Private Equity Associate – Generalist Investor (German Speaker)

An established and highly active private equity firm with over €10 billion in assets under management is seeking an ambitious Associate to join their growing team in Germany. With a generalist investment strategy, the firm partners with mid-market businesses across a wide range of sectors, focusing on value creation through buy-and-build strategies and operational improvement.

Role Overview:

As an Associate, you will play a key role across the full investment lifecycle – from sourcing and due diligence to execution and portfolio management. You will work closely with senior team members and portfolio company management, contributing to strategic decision-making and value creation initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• Fluent German and English (spoken and written)
• Master’s degree
• 2–4 years of experience, ideally from a leading strategy consultancy (e.g., MBB)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
• Entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in private equity
