The position is in the area of machine learning, with a focus on deep learning for inverse problems or machine learning more broadly.
We are looking for candidates with strong mathematical skills and interests. A requirement for the position is a master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field with an outstanding academic record. Interest in mathematical signal processing, optimization, and/or machine learning is important. Since the working language is English, excellent written and spoken English skills are required.
The candidate will be a full-time employee at TUM, with pay scale 100% TV-L E 13. The expected appointment period is three to four years for a PhD student, and two years for a postdoctoral position.
