As a Sales Engineer for Germany, you will combine your technical expertise with commercial acumen to support customers in selecting and implementing the right laboratory automation systems. You will be responsible for technical sales support, from pre-sales consulting through to product demonstrations and post-sales installations.


Key Responsibilities


  • Act as the technical expert in the sales process, providing in-depth product knowledge and solution recommendations to customers.
  • Support the sales team by conducting product demonstrations, technical presentations, and consultations to showcase the capabilities of laboratory automation systems.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and tailor solutions that best fit their needs, providing clear technical explanations and value propositions.
  • Assist in generating and managing technical documentation, proposals, and quotations.
  • Provide technical feedback to product development and management teams to ensure continuous product improvement and alignment with customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, service, and applications, to ensure smooth project execution and successful customer installations.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in the CRM system to track activities, sales progress, and forecasts.
  • Attend key industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to stay updated on the latest industry trends and innovations while promoting the company’s solutions.


About You


  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, ideally with a focus on Analytical or Instrumental Analysis.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, or similar technical sales support role in laboratory automation or analytical instrumentation.
  • Strong technical understanding of laboratory automation systems, with the ability to explain complex technical features and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with laboratory managers, scientists, and technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess customer needs and provide appropriate technical solutions.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage a region independently, with a proactive approach to customer engagement.
  • Willingness to travel across Germany to meet customers, conduct demonstrations, and support installations.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • A valid driving license.
