My client is a leading, global legal company with offices around the world and top rated global reputation.
For their office in Berlin, they are seeking a fulltime application management engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical support and troubleshooting for complex server/client application integrations.
- Manage and maintain robust environments comprising Windows Server platforms and IIS.
- Administer and troubleshoot LDAP, Active Directory (AD), NTFS, DFS, DFSR, DNS, HTTP, SSL certificates, printing drivers, and Citrix ICA/printing/redirection.
- Develop and utilize PowerShell and CMD scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and deploy solutions to prevent recurring problems.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Technical documentation creation
- Migration of existing applications from on-premises to cloud platforms.
Required Skills:
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Proven experience in a Tier 3 support role or similar, with a focus on server/client application integrations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server platforms and IIS.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-energy, collaborative team.
- Stellar communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with insolvency-related applications such as STP suite, Lexolution, or similar software.
- Experience with Linux servers, Tomcat, and Apache.
- Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
- Experience with Citrix environments.
