Cyber Security Engineer

Salary: Up to 80,000 EUR

Location: Hannover - 5 days a week

Languages: English C1 & German C1 (must)

I'm working with one of the most reputable European Pharmaceutical giants who are hiring for a Security Engineer to build out and enhance their internal infrastructure capability.

They are looking for someone who can build out, fine-tune and automate where possible their security monitoring and detection capabilities in a complex, hybrid on-prem/cloud environment, ensuring they are protected against the ever-evolving cyber threat landscape.

Cyber Security Engineer – Responsibilities:

• Monitor alerts and logs to detect and respond to vulnerabilities, cyber threats, and security incidents in real time.
• Implement security patches and configuration changes to keep systems secure and running smoothly.
• Protect systems across on-premise, cloud (AWS/Azure), and OT infrastructure — including servers, laptops, network devices, and IoT.
• Administer and optimise SIEM, EDR & vulnerability scanning tools.
• Provide clear, actionable security direction to tech vendors and stakeholders ensuring full support and execution of security measures.

Cyber Security Engineer – Requirements:

• 3-5 years hands on experience within a Cyber Security Engineering role
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
• Strong exposure across SIEM, EDR and Vulnerability scanning tools
• A degree in IT security, computer science relevant professional experience is beneficial
• Commutable to Hannover
