About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced SAP BDC / Datasphere Developer to design and implement seamless, secure, and scalable data integrations between SAP Datasphere (including SAP Business Data Connectivity) and Snowflake.

You will play a key role in modernizing our data infrastructure, enabling governed, real-time, and virtualized access to SAP data within our Snowflake environment. This is a highly cross-functional role with impact across architecture, engineering, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines to extract and virtualize data from SAP systems (e.g., S/4HANA, BW/4HANA) into Snowflake via SAP Datasphere.
• Configure and manage SAP BTP connectivity, including SAP BDC layers, OData APIs, and remote access configurations.
• Work with Snowflake engineers to ensure proper mapping, transformation, and performance optimization of SAP-sourced data.
• Apply best practices for data modeling, lineage, and security, ensuring governance and compliance.
• Partner with enterprise architects, data analysts, and business users to deliver trusted data products.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP BDC, and SAP BTP.
• Proven track record of integrating SAP data with Snowflake, using connectors, APIs, or virtualization techniques.
• Strong skills in SQL, data modeling (e.g., Calculation Views), and metadata management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Snowflake architecture.
• Knowledge of data governance, access controls, and semantic layer design.
