We’re hiring a Metal Fabrication Technician to join a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment, supporting the development and production of precision components for advanced optical systems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operate CNC machines, including milling, turning, and grinding
• Set up and run complex production processes with minimal supervision
• Support new product development and cross-train on technologies like diamond turning, vacuum coating, and dimensional metrology
• Read and interpret technical drawings with basic understanding of GD&T
• Record inspection data, job progress, and labor hours in manufacturing systems
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, following inventory and cleaning procedures
• Use manual and advanced inspection tools; training in high-end metrology equipment can be provided
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic production setting
• Shift work may be required

What You’ll Bring:

• Vocational qualification or apprenticeship in machining, metal fabrication, or a technical field (e.g., precision engineering, mechanical or manufacturing technology)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in manual machining or metal fabrication production
• A can-do attitude with a willingness to follow structured processes and tackle tasks of varying complexity
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
• English fluency is essential; German is a plus
