Operations Manager – Automotive

My client, a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a results-oriented Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily operations at their advanced manufacturing facility in Germany, specializing in interior components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all operational functions within the plant to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production, logistics, and support functions in a Just-In-Time (JIT) environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategies that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
• Monitor KPIs and operational performance, using data to guide decision-making and resolve challenges proactively.
• Support budget planning, cost management, and resource allocation to meet business objectives.
• Lead and develop teams across various departments, promoting a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous development.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Strong background in automotive manufacturing, ideally within a Tier 1 or OEM environment.
• Solid experience in operations, production, or plant management roles, with a proven track record of driving results.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing and JIT production principles.
• Excellent leadership and team development skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a hands-on approach.
• Fluency in English; German language skills are highly preferred.
